Technology will continue to change. The rate of change will be both progressive and variable. In any event, the technology change hypothesis seems reasonably durable. After accepting the hypothesis certain questions should be asked about the nature of technology. What would be the point of buying a Motorola Droid from Verizon Wireless when later this year the Google Nexus One will be available? If the point of the endeavor is to examine the Android operating system through field testing, then purchasing a secondary product from an alternative manufacturer defeats the purpose.

A Google Wave Discovered

Therefore, yeah, um, so… about the new Google Wave preview application. The new addition from the labs at Google seems to be showing some promise especially with respect to multimedia communication efforts. Unfortunately, the only method of testing the true functionality of a Google Wave would be to interact with a large number of respondents. Initially, with very few online Google Wave contacts the functionality of the application remains limited. However, the Google Wave preview application does appear to function within the parameters of the initial developer video.
