Last year I presented a concept proposal presentation at the National Conference on Volunteering. The proposal was well received and has been the impetus to make contact with other tertiary institutions around Australia where similar (and different) volunteering schemes are in place. I note your contributions in the area of civic honours (I own your book)and would like to establish contact and dialogue with yourself and others you might direct me to. Currently I thinking about visiting a select number of institutions in the USA who run these programs for further research and scoping of the idea. This knowledge may indeed translate into a strategy for trying to develop programs here in Australia.
