Snowstorm Weekend

Theoretically, the middle of the month of April should be the start of spring or at the very least should provide mild weather. Colorado Springs, Colorado currently faces blizzard conditions without the snow sticking to the roads. Eventually, the snow will lower the temperature enough to negatively impact driving conditions. Early this mourning Peppercorn the dog started the day by calling on Australian cattle dog instincts to function as an alarm clock. Peppercorn the dog ran through the doggy door and quickly returned inside. Apparently, Peppercorn the dog does not enjoy blizzards. After the blizzard is over, Peppercorn the dog will frolic in the snow.

Yesterday, after dinner Nels visited the local Blockbuster movie superstore. Blockbuster has been slowly searching for a new business model. Internet access to streaming video content has decimated the traditional Blockbuster business model. Nels rented the last copy of the Jim Carrey movie about perpetually saying yes to any opportunity from Blockbuster. The Jim Carrey movie about perpetually saying yes to any opportunity rented from blockbuster turned out to be entertaining but not memorable. However, perhaps somewhere within the wisdom of the crowd Jim Carrey has superstar credentials. People spent enough money to rent every copy of the movie.

At some point this weekend, Nels will be testing a recipe for spicy Kung Pao marinated tofu. Most Americanized recipes originated from China can support the addition of tofu. At some point, the recipe test kitchen will build a complete Chinese restaurant style vegetarian menu online. Nels enjoys exceptionally spicy food and tends to focus on building vegetarian versions or spicy recipes.
