Today Nels moved the pet cactus outside. The cactus previously resided within a comfortable wintering location in the kitchen. Before the summer officially starts, a few seeds will start the growing process inside. Each of these starter plants will grow from seed to a size capable of living in the outside garden.
During the lunch hour, the test kitchen started developing protocols for building a vegetarian version of the Vietnamese soup Pho. Initial recipe testing has provided interesting results. A simple internet search for Pho (Vietnamese rice noodle soup) quickly illustrates the number of variations available. Continued research will be required to identify the perfect possible recipe. This recipe should be both challenging and rewarding for the test kitchen.
For some people waking up takes more than a few minutes. A few people can stop working and sleep only to wake up and immediately start working again. Otherwise, everything can seem cloudy and abstract during the first moments of the day. Maybe thoughts gradually come to the forefront of perceived reality. Light streaming through the window hits the computer screen only during the first few hours of the morning. Work should occur throughout the day resulting in a significant amount of prose.
