Windows Vista came installed on the Dell Studio 15 laptop computer sitting in the office. Over the course of the last few months, Windows Vista has suffered a few random restarts. Without any significant programs, running the system randomly restarts about once a week. Windows Vista occasionally enters a Windows initiated repair process. Unfortunately, the only solution to the random restarts appears to be a complete system reformatting. Computer operating systems are subject to fatal errors. Sometimes a user can fix the problem, but occasionally the only available solution involves starting over with a fresh installation of the operating system. Computer problems like random restarts illustrate the need for a user to diligently backup data.
