Inspire the day

Take the time to write a remembrance passage to inspire the day. A remembrance passage can be a brief piece of prose read at the start of each day that reminds the mind of what intentions have to rise above instincts during the day. A remembrance passage can focus on the art of daily purpose. Individuals strive to move beyond possibility to challenge the best of any potential course of action. Personal daily messages of purpose have to develop in a way that provides instruction regarding why to write, what is worth participation, and why participation is important. Individuals have to define the reasons why writing should be a participatory activity. Maybe everyone already knows what is required to complete the process of personal repair each day.

Each day the echo, afterthought, and remembrances of history provide influence. Taking the time to write down a clean and concise roadmap for taking action on a previously upheld philosophy seems straightforward. Certain individuals are capable of developing a vision of what is possible. Within the framework of possibilities an individual can follow a vision for the future. Knowing where you want to go and striving to work toward that goal is the essence of writing a remembrance passage.

Start the process by writing out a daily list of tasks at the end of the day. What vision of the future is society building toward? What is the current social trajectory given all the previous knowledge contained in accessible storehouses of recorded history? Everyone will not agree on single vision for the future. Maybe focusing on a society that protects freedom and democracy is a simplistic vision. One possible task could involve guiding science toward protecting freedom and democracy.

Contributing to society is part of working together. Without a shared collective vision of the future working together within society seems impossible. Could it be argued that the very basis of participation in society is self-preservation? Could it be argued that for society to function individuals interested in self-preservation have to work together? Each individual voice within the process is important. Each individual willing to participate in society represents progress.

Everyone makes difficult choices on an individual level. How the difficult choices facing society should be made is a legitimate question. Part of focusing on creating a remembrance passage involves upholding a vision for the future. At the heart of my personal vision for the future is the possibility of building toward a functional utopia. Perhaps most people would agree that working toward some degree of utopia is a valid pursuit worthy of the collective attention of society in general.
