The academic residency is focusing on the graduation ceremony today. Tomorrow the academic residency will focus on welcome sessions for the students arriving for the second week. Between a University of Kansas basketball game and the NFL championship games, the weekend should be full of sporting related entertainment. Everyday last week required getting up at five in the morning last week to ride the DART to downtown Dallas, Texas. Now is the time to devote at least one day this week to rest and reflection. When the academic residency meetings start early in the morning and continue throughout the entire day the only dinner plans receive consideration, extensive debate, or anticipation.
