Fantasy football draft grade

After a pretty decent dinner at the Craftwood Inn last night, I managed to execute my Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football draft from my HTC EVO 4G LTE phone. The Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football draft app worked pretty well. It was easy to use. However, at the end of the draft, I got a rather discouraging email from Yahoo, “Despite a Powerful Set of RBs, 65 Toss Power Trap Lands Closer to the Bottom Than the Top.” I was a little shocked at how point blank the Yahoo team was via email. The details of the full email included the following torrid and shocking prose:

“Draft Grade: C. Ouch. Prove these ratings wrong by nominating yourself for the Toyota Hall of Fame. 65 Toss Power Trap couldn’t weave their first overall selection into fantasy gold. They’re projected to end up seventh in IT Champs League with a mark of 4-10-0 (1,517 points). 65 Toss Power Trap jumped on ball carriers early and often, using their first three selections to grab RBs Adrian Peterson (1st overall), Stevan Ridley (20th), and David Wilson (21st). Going hand-in-hand with that early investment, they acquired the most prolific trio of RBs in the league.”

Here is the team I ended up drafting:

  1. Adrian Peterson (Min – RB)
  2. Stevan Ridley (NE – RB)
  3. David Wilson (NYG – RB)
  4. Colin Kaepernick (SF – QB)
  5. Cam Newton (Car – QB)
  6. Mike Wallace (Mia – WR)
  7. Steve Smith (Car – WR)
  8. Danario Alexander (SD – WR)
  9. Greg Jennings (Min – WR)
  10. Arizona (Ari – DEF)
  11. Martellus Bennett (Chi – TE)
  12. Le’Veon Bell (Pit – RB)
  13. Tavon Austin (StL – WR)
  14. Josh Brown (NYG – K)
  15. Kenny Britt (Ten – WR)
  16. Sidney Rice (Sea – WR)

I already put Danario Alexander (WR) who got placed on injured reserve up on the waiver wire for Brandon Myers (TE).
